When you’re planning your Victoria Falls holiday, be sure to include this must-do legendary dining and entertainment experience. The Boma specialises in traditional African dining, drumming and dancing. The food is cooked and served in the style and quantity of a lavish feast, including irresistible desserts.
On arrival you are dressed in a chitenge (traditional sarong) and welcomed into a vibrant atmosphere in which the tantalising aromas of local dishes and game meat on the braai (barbecue) fill the restaurant, partially open to the star-filled African sky.
Your meal begins with a mouth-watering platter of starters whilst the main course buffet offers the popular warthog fillet, mouth-watering grilled ostrich, buffalo curry, lamb on the spit, guinea fowl, game stews and kudu steak. Vegetarian options are also available, as well as local dishes such as peanut butter spinach which may be enjoyed with sadza/isitshwala.
You can also look forward to outstanding performances by traditional singers and dancers, and enjoy an energising interactive drumming show. A face painter, storyteller, hair braider and fortune teller also form part of this festive evening.
The Boma is open for dinner daily from 7pm to 10pm. Bookings are essential. If you’re staying at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Club or Victoria Falls Safari Suites, a courtesy shuttle is available to and from The Boma.
