Ms Chen opened Sea Palace, in the tourist hot spot of the V&A Waterfront, introducing the City to amazing Asian cuisine. The restaurant is run by hands-on, dedicated manager, Roy, with a vision for Sea Palace to become The Cape’s Premier Chinese restaurant and conference centre. The restaurant boasts a variety of options for those looking to throw a function, such as separate function rooms, which are stylish and very well equipped for events, weddings or any other occasion.
Sea Palace Restaurant’s interior is beautiful and large, with an open plan setting with the ability to seat up to 160 people. There are lots of round tables, each seating 10, high ceilings, wooden floors, white table clothes, bar area and warm and friendly service. All food is prepared fresh on premises daily, with the choice of four different set menus with more than 8 courses
Some of the favourite food options at Sea Palace include the chicken velvet corn soup, ALL the lobster dishes, beef with oyster sauce, sweet and sour chicken, chicken cashew nut and the ever popular chow mein. To end off your meal with something sweet, try the Chinese rice cake with pineapple, which has proven to be quite popular with regulars.
