Redford Lane Wines was established in 2006 by the husband-and-wife team, Bren and Leanne Lane. Now a small, yet growing estate found in the heart of Plettenberg Bay, the secret behind Redford Lanes' successes lies in their food and wine philosophies – to produce easy-drinking Sauvignon Blancs accompanied by uncomplicated farm-style cuisine.
Guests will be greeted to the estate by sprawling vineyards and picturesque surrounds. Sample a selection of fine varietals at the tasting room, or enjoy a relaxed lunch with the family at the on-site restaurant. Sit in the enchanting garden
surrounded by verdant greenery, under the shades of towering trees, while sipping on wine and sharing a cheese platter with loved ones. Find refuge during those chilly afternoons at the sheltered outside patio, where you can take a seat on a plush settee and huddle under a warm blanket.
Patrons are advised to come hungry, as the restaurant offers an array of wholesome, uncomplicated meals which are designed to be shared with friends and family. All the ingredients used are locally sourced, and meals are prepared from scratch.
If you’ve got many hungry mouths to feed, Redford Lane Wines' signature dish, ‘Ploughman’s Platter’ is town famous, offering a variety of cheeses, pickles, charcuterie, and slices of oven-fresh bread. Complement your nibbles with a crisp white wine or, during the colder months, a Merlot or Pinotage.
Gourmet picnics can also be pre-arranged and are packed with a delectable spread of treats – think thinly sliced pieces of carpaccio, generous bunches of grapes, crackers and a matured blue cheese. All of this can be enjoyed on the rolling lawns of the estate with views of Plettenberg Bay and surrounds.
