Pride of India now strives on giving not just the best Indian Cuisine in Pretoria but also with a flair of a healthier means as well. Proprietor Kishore Bhima founded Pride of India in 1997, with the vision of educating and sharing with the public the Indian cultural and Culinary experience. Maintaining this vision for many years, son Mitch Bhima after touring India and other parts of the world , has taken Pride of India In the last few years into a modern era. Respectful continuous changing to the menu and now also offering of New Fusion Gourmet Dishes.

A Menu that boasts over 85 dishes, each dish is not a product, no it is a reflection of passion in food. A timeless work of art. Each dish is tempered for individual needs and catered for every palate, may it be the delicate one or the adventurous heat seeking missile. Dishes range from the large vegetarian selection to Lamb, chicken and seafood’s. Signature chefs selections dishes can be found on the menu that shouts out for attention as they are one of the kind creations. As well as Fusion dishes the represent Indian flair with hint of other varietals of the sub-continents.
Good food and great wines must be enjoyed in amiable surroundings, and Pride of India has gone to great lengths to ensure that diners will feel as if they are tucked away in an Indian palace. A central skylight showers rays of sunshine onto the large and beautiful floor, appointed tables are discreetly divided by pillars. Also from the Asian sub-continent come all the spices, and apparently over 200 are judiciously blended for use in these dishes, the recipes of which date back centuries, having carefully been preserved from generation to generation and is available for sale in the restaurant.
