Nadine’s Corner - Leisure isle
This unique small personal restaurant is positioned in a delightful corner of Leisure Isle which Nadine Cooke has been the sole owner for eight years. On busy occasions, family pop-in to assist. The restaurant is a necessity hub for Leisure Isle, clearly signed, just off the main entrance for Leisure Isle. It is situated under the hundred year old wild fig trees. Wonderful and relaxing for the bird watchers and those who enjoy peaceful and pretty surrounds. Such a welcoming place to have coffee after a jog, bike ride, swim, or a walk with the dog.
Always welcoming, friendly faces, and easy light meals, quiches, hamburgers, chicken pies (home-made), take-away meals (bring your own bowl), macaroni/cheese, cottage pies, ox tail, lovely hot soup during the cold months. Exceptional salads, served with her very own delicious salad dressing recipe. Also, don't forget our good home cooked Sunday roasts. Plenty of sweets for the children to choose from out of big glass bottles, ice creams, cool drinks and iced water.
“Nadine’s Corner" better known as the coffee shop is full of old world charm. Seating is mostly outside under the trees, but also welcoming inside - fresh, clean table clothes, beautiful local pottery, local artist displays, of paintings and gifts. Plus free wifi.
Nadine has a unique collection of locally written books on Knysna, lovely keepsakes from this unusual little corner of Leisure Isle.
