Previously a successful Deli/Bakery with a distinct “Greek flavour”, long time friends Taki and Peter decided some years back that it was time to expand into a fully fledged restaurant, due to the large Greek community in the surrounding neighbourhood. The Deli/Bakery is fortunate to have moved to its own premises, which is virtually next door, so whether you are dining in, or shopping for your favourite treats, it’s just a step away.
The Deli/Bakery is a treasure trove of all that is Greek – breads, biscuits, pastries, coffee, pasta, olive oil & olives, cheeses and sausages, to mention just some of the fantastic range of tempting products.
The steady stream of regular customers throughout the day bears testimony to the quality and range of products on offer, and in particular the baked goods which are impossibly hard to resist.
At Meze Emporio, you can start the day with a freshly baked croissant and coffee, a slice of baklava, or go the whole hog and enjoy the Cypriot Breakfast comprising eggs, bacon, Greek sausages, halloumi and sheftalia tomatoes. Lunch time specialties include a range of Greek pies, assorted Souvlakia and American style burgers.
The traditionalists will be suitably impressed with the Eat Greek section of the menu which offers everything from stuffed tomatoes, soutzoukakia, pastitsio, spanakorizo, to a hearty bean and olive soup.
Meze Emporio are also renowned for their platters which consist of a selection of well known Greek appertisers including best sellers such as Yiro (pita bread with chicken or pork), and Cypriot Flaounes – savoury dough with a variety of cheeses).
