The menu is simple, and traditional. You can choose your steak 18 different ways, from fillet escargot or "carpetbagger" (topped with mussels, bacon and snails in a garlic sauce), to a massive 800 grams of rump or sirloin. With the abundance of red meat options, freshly prepared seafood and chicken specialities such as Chicken Cordon Bleu, Meeurots is a carnivore’s heaven. Desserts include traditional Malva pudding, sticky toffee and a decadent Turkish delight ice cream. There is a comprehensive wine list, completed with ratings, though guests are also welcome to bring their own wine for a small corkage fee.
Meeurots is family-friendly, and even offers high chairs for the toddlers to sit on. The restaurant is cosy and informal, allowing patrons to relax and feel at home while enjoying their meal. The restaurant is situated on the 1st floor and boasts views over the rocks from which it was named, as well as the town itself. A log fire keeps patrons warm and cosy in the chilly winter months.
