'Sharing' is at the heart of the dining experience you can expect at Greedy Buddha, an Asian Tapas eatery in Durban North. Seating is al fresco, with white and lime-green décor reflecting the simplicity of the food & echoing the outdoors.

Tapas is about sharing. Our menu is inspired by classic dishes from South East Asia and we aim to present these dishes authentically, yet with a unique twist.

The fundamental philosophy behind all Asian cuisine is to share communally, whilst savouring the company of friends and family. Our food is served to allow everyone to select their favourite dishes, and by sharing, everybody gets to experience the diverse flavours that Asia has to offer.

In order to provide our guests with an inspirational dining experience and to offer fresh new tastes and textures, we continually evolve our menu. We perfect new dishes by trial, error and attention to detail. These dishes use fresh seasonal ingredients and also challenge our chefs to focus on continual improvement.

Our menu caters for all for all diners. Those who want to get the full Greedy Buddha experience can opt for our tasting menus that cover various sensations bite by bite.

Tasting menus are a great idea for first time diners as they allow you to explore the whole of South East Asia in one sitting. Every dish on our menu is lovingly prepared by our young team of Durban chefs using the best possible ingredients – be it flour imported from Hong Kong or local produce. We ensure freshness and seasonality while supporting the local business community.

We believe that children should be encouraged to try new tastes and that they should be welcome at any family gathering. Our menu includes many child friendly dishes that will be instantly enjoyed while helping to develop their young palates and sense of culinary adventure.

Greedy Buddha is fully licenced with an extensive wine list, numerous craft beers as well as bespoke cocktails on offer.
