Frater House is a trendy new eatery located in Loop Street, Cape Town. It is definitely the new kid on the block which only opened in August 2017, by hands on owners Craig and Yusuf, who have vast experience in the hospitality field. Focused on fresh local produce and high quality products, Frater House aims to be the go to spot to experience local produce at its finest and experience their own aged meat, cooked over a wood fired grill.

The interior of Frater House is natural and earthy and has an organic feel with growing herbs displayed. There are wooden chairs and tables throughout, with a white and green colour scheme. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming and there is a bar area and outside seating as well, for those who like to enjoy their meal al fresco.

Frater House grows all their herbs organically in the store and age their own meat, they also change their starters and desserts daily. Some favourite meals include the roasted butternut with tortellini and a herbed truffle sauce, the Tomahawk Steak and for those with a sweet tooth, the Apple Tart Fin and the Olive Oil Gelato.
