If I were too accurately describe Escapé, I would have to consider various descriptions. One of them would be an upmarket eatery which caters to all tastes for any time of the day.  The others would be a delectable lounge. A third would be an ultra-stylish bar, then of course there's the outside seating in the courtyard. So in summary Escape is all of these things and much, much more. You actually need to see this space to truly appreciate all that it has to offer.

Additionally, when I walked into this exquisite venue I was taken aback by its stunning design and well planned, clearly impeccably put together interior. When I met the divine owner Clinton, a superb designer in his own right with a CV to boot, I understand why this establishment is what it is. I can only describe it as wow! Clinton has clearly put his heart and soul in presenting this gem to the world. That is crystal clear. He even personally designed each gorgeous cushion on the comfortable couches. I'm sure he will have requests for assistance in other interior spaces in future, but from what I saw it's unlikely he will have opportunity to even consider those requests.

The venue is situated in the Marina Da Gama and access Escapé by driving down Prince George's Drive and turning off into Eastlake Island in Marina Da Gama. This is the Island which is closest to Muizenberg. Thereafter turn left and then at the mini shopping centre it will be on your left hand side. There is safe parking available right outside the entrance. It is in fact a suitable destination for any time of the day and one can easily pop in on one's own without feeling uncomfortable due to Clinton's well thought out design.

The mouth-watering menu caters for every taste and includes an appetizing selection of Mexican dishes, tapas style dishes which can be shared, gourmet burgers, sensational pizzas and the list goes on. It truly caters for every palate.

The staff are beautifully dressed all in black and are exceptionally well trained to make patrons feel looked after and very welcome. What a lovely exception to the norm.

In summary the most surprising thing is that not only does a 5 Star restaurant, lounge and upmarket bar exist in this location but it also ticks all the boxes in terms of not only menu options, exceptional service and ambiance, but also in terms of the pricing which I found to be incredibly affordable. What a win for Southern Suburbs and coastline residents! Even if you live further afield it's absolutely worth the drive there. I can't wait to go back.  It's worth driving there just to take in the gorgeous interior and appreciate Clinton's beautiful work.  You will probably find him sitting on one of his most comfortable lounge chairs discussing tweaks to his menu with his charming right hand lady Mia.
