If you have a craving for exceptional tasty yet simple cuisine, a piece of art served in a very stylish yet relaxed atmosphere without having to pay an arm and a leg, you must visit EAT.

Eat is situated in the Hemel en Aarde Village at the Sandbaai crossing and provides for indoors and al fresco dining with a beautiful view of the mountains in the courtyard section. The restaurant is wheelchair friendly and has ample parking.

The owner, Petri Hendriksz, also co-owner of Fusion, has created a restaurant where he wants to focus on the local market in Hermanus. His menu caters for lunch, light snacks and dinner. Some starters include Sweetcorn Fritters and Home-Made Vegetarian Spring Rolls served with a sweet chilli dip, or Pear, Blue Cheese and Caramelised Cashew Nut Salad served with balsamic and port syrup. Baskets are available for those who just want to have a light snack to share.

Mains include for example a 400g Matured Rib Eye Steak or 250g Rump with the option to top your steak with crispy bacon, brie or avocado, caramelised red onion, goat's cheese and rocket. Or you can opt for Pork Belly Ribs coated in a Thai style basting. Alternatively you can try one of their thin-crust pizzas.

The dessert menu includes some of the all time favourites such as Deep Fried Ice Cream with caramelised berries. The cocktails are exceptionally interesting such as the Singapore Sling, Tropical Cow or even the classics like Cosmopolitans and Margaritas.

Join Eat Restaurant on hot summer nights when live entertainment will be offered.

Treat yourself and visit EAT because life is 2 short not 2!
