Craft Burger Bar, situated in Regent Road, Sea Point, is rumoured to have the best burgers in Cape Town. Not only that but you’re able to “Create Your Own Burger” by selecting from a list of options in terms of patty, bun (if required), toppings, cheeses, premium toppings, sauces and sides. What a delight! If this seems too difficult there are Handcrafted Burger options available, ranging from Century City (cheddar, camembert, blue cheese and caramelised onions) to Wellington (chopped garlic, fresh chillies and fried onion rings) and many more. If you’re in the mood for a salad you can start with the basics and add scrumptious items like chicken, bacon, feta/blue cheese or mushrooms and have handmade potato chips on the side. In fact you can have the handmade potato chips on the side with any burger unless you prefer the vegetables of the day, deep fried yams or fried onion rings.
This delightful restaurant with a clearly unique menu is certainly well worth a visit. i The charming owner Russell makes patrons feel right at home immediately. He seems to know almost everyone in the neighbourhood on a first name basis. Armed with years of restaurant experience and his friendly nature it’s easy to see why his restaurant is clearly a hit with locals and foreigners alike.
The restaurant is cozy, with its interior tastefully decorated, welcoming and unpretentious. In fact it’s exactly the sort of place people feel comfortable going to regardless of whether they’re on their own or with friends or family. Russell often has tables for one but nobody ever feels alone or single at Craft Burger Bar. The venue is suitable for any time of day, from noon onwards. It stays open until late so it’s a fabulous option for after a late dinner or show, the movies or the theatre. Alternatively it’s where you can get a mouth-watering take-away, exactly as per your requirements, any time.
