Caffe Sienna is located in a Duke road, Rondebosch in a wonderful quiet space away from the main road. The owner, Kim Stoffberg, is a Silwood Kitchen Trained chef and opened this lovely Caffé in August 2011. Her goal was to open a warm and cosy shop which can be your home away from home with healthy comfort food that’s made with fresh ingredients and lots of love, which she has definitely succeeded at.
It is a quaint café with only 11 seats and one outside table and has a bit of a European vibe, very relaxed and laidback. The building is 117 years old, and keeping true to this, Caffe Sienna’s décor is quite simple and rustic with classic finishes. They serve amazing food, cakes and coffee and also have catering options for small functions and offer home freezer meals (pre ordered) too. Their customers come first and their pride shows in all they do.
Caffe Sienna only uses fresh ingredients, not organic, but all meals are made to order. So you know the tomato on your salad or sarmie is fresh and has just been cut. They have a loyal customer base and some of the favourite dishes include the Sienna Special (poached eggs, caramelized onion, hollandaise sauce and crispy bacon and rocket on an English muffin) or the Smoked chicken Ciabatta: topped with avo and tomato rocket and sweet chilli mayo but the bread is the winner here, their artisan bread is amazing and for something sweet try the Carrot cake home baked by Kim and never fails to impress.
