The Aroma Gourmet Coffee Roastery was first established in 2012 by caffeine aficionado, Rael Shiller. The aims of Aroma are to provide customers with the experience of indulging in quality cups of coffee. Only the best grade coffee beans are used – Grade AAA Arabica – which are selectively handpicked and roasted in a 24-hour period. The attention to detail that occurs during the roasting process ensures that the coffee you drink is incredibly fresh and full of flavour.

With that in mind, a visit to The Aroma Gourmet Coffee Roastery in Silverlakes is not complete without having sipped and slurped on their authentic cups of coffee. If you’re an early-morning riser, a ‘Macchiato’ or ‘Piccolo’ will give you the ultimate caffeine fix. For something a little colder, their ‘Iced Lattes’ are definitely worth a try.

While their coffees are unbeatable, their cuisine is simple, flavoursome and healthy. Accompany that coffee with the ‘Traditional Breakfast Plate’ – a monster meal served with eggs of your choice, streaky bacon or spicy lamb sausages, grilled tomatoes, a small pot of mushrooms, and served with either toasted seeded bread or rye bread. If you’re there for lunch, the signature sandwich ‘Hot Brisket on Rye’ is a must-try. This sandwich comes with 200g of shaved brisket, topped with sliced tomato, sweet mustard and spiced gherkins.

If you’re in the mood for a real Italian treat, visit The Aroma Gourmet Coffee Roastery’s sister outlet, The Aroma Gelato and Waffle Lounge. Here you’ll be able to pick and choose between over twenty different flavours of ice cream. Ice-cream lovers will be in their element with the unusual choices of ‘New York Cheese Cake’, ‘Ferrero Roche’, ‘Salted Buttered Caramel’, and much more! For those on a health kick, fruit flavoured sorbets are also available.

Sticking to an international flair, The Aroma and Gelato and Waffle Lounge have the best Belgian waffles in the country. While being light and crispy, these waffles have fillings that go against the grain – think ‘Apple Pie’ and ‘Nutty Nutella Indulgence’.

While slurping on authentic coffee and munching on a scrumptious dish, diners can enjoy the simplicity about the place with wooden tables, bare-bricked walls and open-planned spaces.
