Situated in a landmark building (which was once the Mayor’s residence), Adega Bedfordview is superbly positioned with its own dedicated parking area. In addition, the property is completely fenced with controlled access, giving peace of mind to parents with young children. The versatile seating provides an upstairs smoking section which accommodates 100 and is also used for private functions. The obliging staff will also organize live entertainment for your function whether you are having an Engagement Party, 21st or 50th Birthday, or even a Karaoke evening.
This is the largest of the Adega restaurants to date, and can accommodate 400 between the upstairs smoking section, the main non-smoking area, and the sheltered outside terrace. The interior is decorated in sunny yellow, with the Monks theme represented in the traditional blue and white Portuguese tiles which have become the trademark of the Adega group. Franchise owner, Luis Ferreira, continues to maintain the same high standards of quality and food presentation (as well as offering a superb selection of Portuguese specialties) for which the Adegas are renowned.
The enticing menu offers all the favourite Portuguese specialties such as Chouriço Sausage, Grilled Codfish, Trinchado and Espetada to mention but a few of the more well known dishes. In addition, Adega Bedfordview, which is supported by the local Portuguese community, also offers daily specials which include Chanfana (lamb stew) on Fridays and Leitao (baby suckling pig) and Cozido (mixed meat stew) on Sundays. Other popular items on the menu are of course the Oysters, as well as the Linefish of the Day which varies according to what is freshly available. Sushi has become enormously popular and in keeping with the latest food trends, the Adega restaurants offer a comprehensive, well-priced Sushi menu.
