Eighty Six Public Pizzeria is a restaurant and bar located on a busy corner site in Braamfontein Johannesburg. With a glass frontage on one side of the building, it overlooks Melle Street and opens up onto a sunny square.

Our name, Eighty Six Public is inspired by Johannesburg's founding date, 1886 when it was declared Public Diggings. We are passionate about the city's rejuvenation and believe in local business and opening the city up to the public. We also happen to make great gourmet pizza and cocktails.

Our Menu focuses on a variety of pizzas for every taste. All pizzas are made by hand in our wood burning brick oven, giving you a special pizza every time. For Starters, order the Mozzarella Salad or a Special Focaccia (sundried tomatoes, onions and gorgonzola).

For Mains, choose from a large variety of pizzas; these include delicious options such as Roasted Butternut, Sweet Corn, Zucchini, Basil Pesto, Sour Cream & Rosemary or Bacon, Caramelised Onion, Apple & Feta or Chicken, Spinach, Roasted Peppers, Onions, Sour Cream & Rosemary.

For those with a sweet tooth, order No. 28 - a crispy pizza crust with Chocolate, Mascarpone, Pineapple, Apple, Pear, Banana & Strawberries and for something a bit different, try No. 27 - Bacon, Dark Chocolate, Feta, Pear.
