Value for Money
The place is great -industrial look & feel- and food is good enough -refined but not posh.

Unfortunately, today we had a weird experience: after lunch, I wanted to show something on my laptop to my girlfriend. But that was not allowed.

The manager -very politely- came to us saying they have a policy forbidding people to use their laptops. "Why?", I go. And he: "We want people to talk to each other, hence the laptops are prohibited".

Aside the clear nonsense of prohibiting laptops but not phones/tablets, the issue lays in a fundamental - and very modern - ignorance of what freedom and free will really mean.

People are free - and must be free - to do stupid things if they feel like, and people are free to say stupid things if they feel like.

Do I agree that it is better to have a conversation at lunch instead of staring at a screen? I do, 100%. But it should be my free choice, not the one of a patronising other.
