Mike's Kitchen - Louis Trichardt

The server was horrible. Waited for 50 min for the food. ordered coffee and it was cold. This is the last time they will see me. Rather go to spur.

After a long drive from zimbabwe we stopped at mikes , used to be a favourite place of ours in years passed but not been back for a few years.Not very nice sadly. Chips horrible, fish raw. My lamb chops horrible just fat... staff member hardly spoke English and forgot half the order.. both of us left most of our dinner.. sadly used to be a nice place to eat but no longer.. I have to say in order that they survive they need new cooks, and better trained staff.

We needed to tank up and grab a bite...this is a good clean place to do so. Pleasant staff, quick service and delicious food.

Good for groups, families or couples. The food was excellent - steaks fabulous, nice casual easy place to relax

Stopped for a T-bone steak and salmon Avoca spud en route to Pretoria from Zimbabwe. My fussy husband’s steak was cooked perfectly to order and my salmon spud was delicious! Abel gave incredible service

The taste of the food is no longer the same and the food is not fresh...it seems they were serving yesterday's food. I recommend they go back to the old way of doing things and not change recipes.

This used to be the place to go for some wholesome Mike’s Kitchen meals but it has deteriorated much since they first came here a few years ago. I will give it a miss from now on and preferred to drive 60kms to Thavhani Mall for other options.

I recently visited Louis Trichart for a business meeting and decided to have dinner at Mikes Kitchen. Big mistake. No problem with service but deffinetly overcharged for a"sirloin steak" however recieved the worst peace of meat ive ever come accross and charged a premium for. I hope Spur opens up soon.

We have visited many times over the years on our drives between Zimbabwe and South Africa.. food standard has dropped of late, we had to return the order but we did get our food .. friendly staff though.

We pass through Louis Trichardt at least once a month. If we sleep over our best spot to eat has always been Mikes Kitchen in the Mall. Having dinner there use to be the highlight of our trip but alas.....I don't think we will be going there again. We ordered the same items on the menu to eat that we had the previous month (because it was great), but what we got was definitely not the same and the portions were very small. The next morning we had breakfast there. We ordered eggs bennedict. We were the only people in the restaurant but waited for nearly an hour before anything arrived. Our breakfast was a desaster! Bacon in stead of ham. Egg that were so hard they were blue and no hollinaise sause, only a butter sause over it. The owner was arround, took our complaint but it didn't seem to bother him at all. We left without eating breakfast and no one was bothered about it.
