Every meal here is always enjoyed. Fresh traditional flavors make the meals everlasting... Best Lasagna in Cape Town, delicious veal lemon and Duck orange... and every pizza and focaccia bite crisp and perfect. Enjoyed my first ever Zabaione dessert the last time and wow what heavenly frothy salty brandied custardy mouthfuls... I am Looking forward to next time at MAIROS*

The service was ok but the food was boring,half cooked pasta and small portions and certainly not value for money Will not go there again and the interior looks so old and in need to keep with the trends and times.

It's lovely to walk past a restaurant and see the owner making her own pasta for the evening patrons. We immediately booked and were not sorry. Do not be in a rush when you eat here - relax and enjoy the atmosphere and your food will arrive steamy hot and delicious. Will definitely be back next time we're in Greenpoint.

I visit Mario’s every year when I’m in CT. Family owned, traditional cosy restaurant that spins out the most delicious pizzas!

Popped in for a bite to eat after Cricket on recommendation of a local. Food was really nice and fresh. Proper Italian beer and good service. Only had a couple of pizzas as dine in after being in sun all day and they were really tasty. I had the Mexican, which needed a bit more chilli kick for me, but was still good. The veggie pizza option was equally as tasty. Got the bill and it was great value for money.

Very homey place, the staff was very friendly and helpful, service was good. Lost a star for slightly underseasoned pizza - but the base was excellent. I would definitely try again, and I would recommend them!

Just a wonderful family-run operation, with great food atmosphere. We went for dinner, and our family was welcomed with open arms and smiles. A great start to a wonderful meal.

We went on our first date night in a loooong time, have 2 kids under 4. We love Italian food and was excited to drive through but felt like we were bothering the waiters and not welcome at all.Rude service, fair food-not worthwhile.As a hospitality professional and chef myself, I have alot of respect for chefs and waiters who put in alot of work and long hours but on my worst day, I would never treat a customer in such a manner...Delicious Melanzane though.Word of advice-do not get over confident, the customer still matters and the essence of hospitality was not what we experienced...Definitely won't be back.
