I have visited it often . Now under new management and ownership . Has really gone backwards . Expensive and skimping on ingredients .Wine is terribly overpriced and they do not let you bring your own wine anymore

Officially my new favourite restaurant! From the moment we walked through the door we were treated like royalty, and truly felt like we might've been in a different country. The food was incredible and the cocktails delicious.. You have to try the Kiwi and Passionfruit one!

As we had their three course meal, I felt like the portions may have been small, but I was pleasantly surprised! We couldn't finish out food!

Their creme brûlée might possibly be the best dessert I've ever eaten, and the line tart was so beautifully plated!

I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.. Even if it's just for a drink at the Raya Bar!

A group of friends and I had booked Kitima's Sunday Buffet lunch 2 months in advance. When we arrived on the day, the Maitre D' had no record of our booking - bit of a downer on an event you've been looking forward to. They did find a seat for us, though, which was appreciated, and we honestly think where we sat was nicer than what we might have had (the indoor seats seem very dark and pokey. We were placed outside in a lounge area. The sushi was tasty. The tempura prawn rolls and vegetable california rolls were all winners. From the dim sum and spring rolls to the slow-roasted pork belly - divine. Other winners included their ribs and chicken satay. The spring rolls were complimented by a plum sauce while the chicken satay came with a peanut sauce. Their Tom Yum Goong prawn broth was another winning concoction. For mains I sampled the phad thai which was authentic and tasty, as was their duck penang curry - a personal favourite.

We enjoyed a wonderful Valentines dinner at Kitima.

On arrival, we were presented with a glass of pink bubbly with maraschino cherry.

Then we took in the delights of an enormous buffet, including miniature salads (we enjoyed the smoked salmon), dim sum, oysters, sushi, a wide range of Thai curries, crispy duck, ribs, the works!

Following this, was a delicious dessert table which included a chocolate fountain into which we dipped strawberries and marshmallows.

No meal at Kitima is complete without their signature cocktail, a Thai Martini, was is always excellent.

Every lady received a red rose and gold handbag-shaped box of two chocolate truffles on leaving.

At R495 per head, excluding service charge and drinks, we felt this was excellent value for money, and thoroughly enjoyed our evening in Kitima's beautifully appointed dining rooms.
