Totally over rated . Expensive and surely not worth the money. Portions are small. Can do better with my money

I had heard a lot about Gemelli from my friends and was eager to try it. I went there on a Saturday at 5pm for dinner with a friend and found it very noisy. It was busy which is great, but the noisy level made it difficult to hold a conversation. The food was ok, I had the lamb ragu pasta, which was tasty but truthfully not exceptional. I found it to be pricier that other restaurants in the same tier. It’s definitely the place to go if you want to be seen as it is fashionable, but maybe not if you want time to relax and have a good meal and conversation with your friends.

If a meal out at a restaurant was only eating the plate of food presented, I would give Gemeli a much higher rating.Due to the covert pandemic I chose to eat on the patio; or on the car park. It would appear the youngsters in very sports cars are encouraged to use the top car park area and make a show of either arriving or leaving. Very noisyThe patio area is run down. The ceiling is literally falling to pieces. If I were to have an area in this condition I would not invite friends around let alone charge people to eat there!I ordered a beer and it was served in a wet glass with a couple of teaspoons of water on the bottom. My second beer was brought through from the kitchen already poured. Very strange. The waiter did not find it strange at all when I noted my displeasure. The food was very good, I must admit. I had sticky lamb riblets. and pene alessandr. Both were very good. My wife had the calamari starter with a Prosciutto , Pear & Gorgonzola Salad. The ham had dried out slightly on the tips making me think it had sat around for a while. The other dish was the Gemelli chicken which was great.All in all a pleasant outng, but not number three in Bryanston??

With all the rave reviews I was excited about dining at Gemelli but I was completely and utterly disappointed. This is the worst Italian Restaurant I have dine at ever!! Gemelli is terribly overpriced, the prices do not justify the the quality, taste and presentation of the meals. My husband did not eat his calamari starter, my "pasta" was dry and completely tasteless, the prawns were overcooked and hard. Gemelli did not live up the reviews and webpage which was the reason I booked at the restaurant.In my opinion, this Italian restaurant lacked the "passion, taste and family atmosphere of Italy”

I visited on a Tuesday evening in September. The restaurant was full, and the atmosphere bustling. Definitely not the place to go if you want a quiet, intimate dinner. The food was absolutely divine. I had the beef fillet, the description of which states "Potato and garlic puree. Aged parmesan crema. Wild rocket salad. Balsamic. Parmigiano wafer. Mustard seed jus." My date had the glazed pork belly - "12 hour glaze. Soy and honey glaze. Potato puree. Pak choi. Sesame mayo. Beurre blanc. Toasted peanuts." Both were mouth-wateringly delicious. Dessert was the almond nougat cheesecake - "Baked Almond Cheesecake. 1701 Almond Nougat. Cranberry. Meringue. Biscuit Crumb. Caramel Popcorn Ice Cream." This was also amazing. Service was good, and I would definitely go back.

Nice Italian restaurant with good food. Staff are good but can forget about you from time to time. From the reviews and web I was expecting more.

I went with friends on New Years eve and we had a great time. It was busy but the service was fine. The food was great we all enjoyed our meals and we where a mixture of meat eaters and vegetarians and all ordered something different and everyone finished their meals and really enjoyed it. It may be a little on the expensive side but we all had a great time.

Randomly came in on a rainy day, best decision ever. Service was friendly and attentive, which means a lot as a solo diner. The cocktails are POTENT, order wisely. I had the bourbon Breach drink, and I liked it. For the main, I had the spicy chicken dish with fried polenta. This was the best damn combination and the best damn meal I had during my entire stay. The meat was PERFECTLY seasoned and eased off the bone. The fried polenta served a subtle complement.The real winner here is the nougat cheesecake with almond flavored gelato. The cheesecake was fluffy and flavorful and the ice cream was a nice touch.The ambiance of this place coupled with reasonable pricing makes Gemelli a hit. I dined solo, but most people were there with family or on a date. Highly recommended, and I'm going to figure out a way to have that spicy chicken again before I dip!

A repeat visit to this stylish, slick Italian restaurant. A warm welcome, great service and really delicious, flavorful dishes.

Went on a Thursday evening, apparently a big mistake as it was rather full & noisy. Service could definitely be improved on: Our waiter (Don) abandoned us mid-meal & we had to waive to get someone else to replenish our drinks. In interim, the owner of the place spent a lot of time chatting to table next to ours but not so much as a glance in our direction to see that his other customers were ok. When our Don did return, he did not even offer an apology for abandoning us. To add insult to injury, when we wanted to get a desert takeaway he essentially told us we couldn’t get it because there was now a large table outside & a private room which were clearly more important to him. So as much as the food was good, at those prices one is used to & expects a much better experience.
