Chef: Tony Mason

Tony (Old HardRock Tony) Mason learnt his culinary skills in everybody else's kitchen. "It is the best place to learn what to do, and what not to do", says Tony. He began his career at the spur restaurants and once he had learnt the ropes, he took over the HardRock in Rondebosch. "I still have the HardRocker in me and in my new steak house. A successful owner has to be a jack of all trades, and creating in the kitchen was something I found I have a passion for"

Tony focuses on Daddy and Me cooking, a combination of ying and yang and good old fashion principles with a modern daughter influenced twist. Tony's speciality is BEEF, Beef and beef… and the delicious handmade chips, vegetarian dishes, melting lamb and great desserts are all house favourites!
