Since the first store opened way back in 1992, the Col’Cacchio pizzeria name has become synonymous with an incredible range of crisp thin based, wood-fired pizzas and an impressive variety of freshly prepared salads and pastas. It’s no surprise therefore that the group has steadily expanded over the years, as it has grown in popularity and vibrancy.
Col'Cacchio pizzerias pride themselves on sourcing top quality ingredients, and offering nutritious, fresh food at reasonable prices. The large selection of health or vegetarian pizzas are endorsed by the Heart Foundation of South Africa and in addition to the extensive menu Col’Cacchio pizzeria offers wheat-free tagliatelle and wheat and gluten free pizza bases to cater for all dietary needs.
The pizza combinations are endless with an astounding 50 standard combinations (each with its unique Italian name) to choose from. In addition there is a comprehensive list of ingredients to create your own pizza if none of the 50 combinations appeal to your taste buds. The more exotic combinations include the Paradiso with prawns, chourico, green pepper, chilli and garlic and the Fantasia with caramelised onion, brie, and sesame seeds.

For the health conscious and vegetarians, the salad selection offers 20 enticing, colourful combinations, and it is difficult to single out just one particular salad as they are all equally appetising! However, a couple of recommendations are the Barbitola with rocket, beetroot, mozzarella, avocado, rosso onions and sunflower seeds, and the Nuovo Salmone with sliced Norwegian smoked salmon, cos lettuce, rocket, feta, avo, artichoke, roasted baby potato, caper basil dressing finished off with a sprinkle of crispy capers.
Pasta lovers will enjoy the more unusual Fresca with roasted vegetables, rocket, sundried tomato, ricotta and pinenuts, or the Lamb Capelletti with osso buco sauce, roasted red pepper and bacon.
“Wheat free pizzas are now available at Col’cacchio franchises!”
