The Adega group is continuing with its rapid expansion in Gauteng and has added yet another string to its bow. Adega Montana is one of the newest additions to this highly successful franchise group of Portuguese restaurants and is ideally located for easy access opposite the Collenade Centre. The combination of good service, affordable prices, and a great menu (with a fantastic range of seafood and Portuguese specialties), have proved to be a winning formula for the group. Adega Montana is no exception and charming hosts Carlos and Hester Bassilio, provide a warm welcome to their many regular customers.

The interior is decorated in sunny yellow, with the Monks theme represented in the traditional blue and white Portuguese tiles which have become the trademark of the Adega group. Franchise owner, Luis Ferreira, continues to maintain the same high standards of quality and food presentation (as well as offering a superb selection of Portuguese specialties) for which the Adegas are renowned.

The large menu offers plenty of choices when it comes to Seafood and Portuguese specialities. Favorites on the starter menu are definitely the Black Mushrooms (stuffed with feta and spinach) and the supremely tender grilled Calamari. Main course recommendations are the Portuguese Chicken peri-peri and the Seafood combos. It goes without saying that the Prawn dishes have always been extremely popular at all the Adegas, and the current winter Prawn special has been a huge draw card at Morningside with the restaurant completely booked to capacity on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Finish your meal with a Molotov (a traditional Portuguese dessert) or a slice of freshly baked Almond Tart.

Travelling North or South on the N1 , take the Zambezi Drive off ramp. At the traffic lights turn right or left onto Zambezi Drive, the continue straight ahead on the Zambezi Drive. Adega Montana is situated on the right opposite Colonade Shopping Centre.
