A pathway past the Fynbos garden leads to colour full glass and mosaic fountain which sooths the soul with a gentle trickle of water on a summer day. Set in a 200 year hold heritage building with gables and thick stonewalls in a lime-washed courtyard the Dornier Bodega offers excellent and honest food in a relaxed and informal setting. We are the only restaurant in this beautiful valley; we want visitors to experience our excellent wines with modern farm cuisine at the cellar door in a breathtaking scenic location.
Drawing on the Spanish bodega tradition of presenting food and wine at the cellar door, the Bodega @ Dornier is inspired by the culinary flavours of the farm kitchen. The focus is on dishes which showcase the flavours of fresh, seasonal ingredients; homegrown-by local producers. The blackboard menu changes from day to day, taking an innovative approach by building dishes around the freshest produce, thus emphasizing the creative marriage between food and wine at the bodega.

Tapas are back at the Dornier Bodega Restaurant
The best time of the day at the Bodega is Sunset. Enjoy these moments with a great selection of tapas and mezze from our special menu. Tapas will be served daily from 3:30 – 6pm. Our Chef’s platter serves two guests at R250 and also includes a complimentary bottle of Cocoa Hill wine.

Coming in from the N1:
Driving on the N1 in the directions of Paarl. Take the Stellenbosch / Klipheuwel R304 turnoff (exit 39) and travel in the direction of Somerset West / Strand R44. Pass the Stellenbosch Golf Course on your right. At the set of traffic lights turn left (see ENGEN gas station on your left and 7 Eleven store on your right). Drive about 5km before coming to a dirt road. After about 120m on the dirt road turn left at the Dornier Wine Sign.
Coming in from the N2:
Driving on the N2 in the directions of Somerset West. Take the Stellenbosch R310 turnoff and travel in the direction of Spier / Stellenbosch. Take the Allandale turnoff on your right. Continue till the end of the road reaching a traffic light. Turn left in the direction of Stellenbosch. Pass the De Zalze Golf Course on your left. At the next traffic light turn left (see ENGEN gas station on your left and 7 Eleven store on your right). Drive about 5km before coming to a dirt road. After about 120m on the dirt road turn left at the Dornier Wine Sign.
