With three love affairs, one with food, one with people and one with the sea, throw them all together and combine. The perfect venue 35 metres from the waves at surfing mecca Jeffreys Bay. A gourmet eating experience called Kitchen Windows. Five years back Kitchen Windows Restaurant was taken over from John and Jean Paul by the du Toit Family. Co-owner and son, Altus, trained at the world famous cookery school Silwood Kitchens and with working experience obtained at some of the best kitchens in South Africa on game farms and kitchens in Cape, decided to come back home to the town where he was brought up to join his mother and father in setting a unforgettable dining out experience.

Kitchen Windows is the ideal beach front location. Hidden away from all the traffic and noise, but still in centre of town on the blue flag main beach, with the best reality show in front of you with dolphins, whales, surfers and fisherman. With warm terracotta floor tiles, home style décor, a glass wall, looking out over the ocean and all wrapped up attentions of a band of delightful, well trained and friendly staff.

The restaurant boasts a delectable a la carte menu unquestionably the absolute favourite with the locals. The favourite with the locals are the Kingklip Waleska, baked in a wood burning oven, smothered in a sauce of white wine, garlic, fish stock and a trio of cheeses baked on top. Chicken and Prawn Butter Curry, probably some of the best steaks in the country and the perfect ending must be all the brilliant home made deserts.
