The prime location above Humewood Road ensures that Cafe Brazilia enjoys sweeping harbour views, and its close proximity to the prestigious Paxton Hotel provides a steady flow of dignitaries and politicians, who mix with tourists and overseas businessmen to give a very cosmopolitan ambience to this popular restaurant. Partners Carl and Paul have set high standards in terms of excellent service from the team of well groomed waitrons who are polite, friendly and above all very efficient.

The eclectic décor with its combination of natural crete-stone walls, large vibrant abstract artworks, and an assortment of attractive wrought iron chandeliers, has a contemporary Mediterranean feel. The restaurant is busy from lunch time right through until late, and the attractive bar area is popular with those who enjoy their early evening drinks. The restaurant is vibey and interesting and unlike other establishments in the area is busy every night of the week.

The extensive menu offers an excellent variety of dishes from open sandwiches, tramezzinis, and salads, which are popular lunch-time fare, through to the impressive Seafood Platter and peppered Ostrich Fillet. Portuguese inspired dishes include the famous Espetada, Trinchado and Brazilian Steak (complete with fried egg). Worth mentioning are the range of salads, which are all substantial and beautifully presented, the spicy grilled Chicken Salad is highly recommended. For dessert choose from a selection of cakes and tarts, which includes Cafe Brazilia's famous baked Cheesecake.
