The Tearoom at Design Quarter lends credence to Crabtree & Evelyn’s heritage. It furthermore entrenches our reputation as an incredibly tactile retail experience. It brings to life one of the pillars of the Crabtree & Evelyn brand – the fine tradition of Afternoon Tea. The menu offers the simple, unadulterated delights of the Crabtree pantry: expertly blended herbal infusions & black teas, hand-baked crunch biscuits & butter cookies, and mouth-watering preserves & marmalades, cakes, fresh scones & cream and of course a traditional English High Tea! Selected Breakfast and lunch options are also available, and these are augmented with daily specials. This fine fare is served on Crabtree & Evelyn’s own Mason’s crockery – a disctinctive blue & white patterned ironstone china. What better way to preserve one of the finest English afternoon traditions!

This delightful venue, with its striking contemporary visuals, eclectic mix of antique furniture, and all the warmth and homeliness of a traditional English country kitchen, has become a favoured meeting place. The Tearoom team has crafted a series of scrumptious menus to mark some of life’s great events:
- Stork Parties: a flight of fancy including rose cordial, delectable cupcakes and mini lemon meringue pies.
- Kitchen Teas: bubbly [of course], decadent cakes, savoury tarts and fresh fruit dipped in chocolate – amongst other treats.
- Birthday Parties: Savoury pastries and ploughman’s platter, sweet scones and cakes of your choice – to name just a few.
- Kiddies Parties: let your imagination run the show – fairy cupcakes, sweet treats, fabled birthday cakes and all manner of merriment!
We’ll accessorise, decorate, entertain and enthral to your heart’s content. The menus, decorations and entertainment can be tailored to suite your requirements and your budget. Whatever the occasion, The Tearoom will ensure a most memorable event.
Naturally, The Tearoom is also the perfect place to repair, cocoon and relax – over a cup of Earl Grey, a book or even a game of Scrabble [board games are on hand for patrons to enjoy at their leisure]. Our staff will encourage you to stay a while, enjoy a slice of Victoria Sponge cake and sample the delights of afternoon tea.
