Rococo – is the combination of the French “Rocaille” (stone) and “Coquilles” (shell) signifying the use of shell like curves in the styling of art, décor and furniture of the time. It was the introduction of the elegant Baroque style introduced to the elite by the court of Louis XV and the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI. It was an ornate, florid and playful style, elegant and ornamental. The delicacy and playfulness of the Rococo style was perfectly in tune with the excesses of Louis XV’s reign. The popularity and adaptability of Rococo spread throughout the civilized world.

We have adopted that same elegant, playful delicacy into our menu and have produced meals that adapt perfectly into the Rococo style of the establishment, complemented by the modern tastes of today. The swirls of tastes produced by our fresh ingredients and magical touches of our chefs, complemented by our fine selection of wines and aperitifs, are a reminder of the carefree and elegant styles of the 18th century fused into the culinary and gastronomical requirements of the 21st century.

Travelling on the R24 towards Johannesburg,
at Gillooly's Interchange, take the N3 Pretoria / Bryanston (Eastern Bypass). Take Marlboro Off Ramp then at top of the bridge, turn left into Marlboro Drive. At the end of Marlboro drive, at T-Junction, turn left into Catherine Drive. Rococo Restaurant is situated on the corner of West & Rivonia Roads, about 500m from Nelson Mandela Square.
