An impressive archway of pine trees lead to the historic Neethlingshof manor house which houses the Lord Neethling Restaurant. Situated on the prestigious Neethlingshof Wine Estate, the manor house which was built in 1914 is now a national monument, and its unique character has been carefully preserved. The restaurant consists of several rooms surrounding a large central foyer, the focal point of which is a beautiful 17th century French carpet.
Enjoy the mountain views and delightful garden from the front terrace, whilst enjoying a variety of light meals. The evening menu offers an interesting combination of Continental and South African dishes. For starters try the biltong with port and blue cheese soup - a delicious taste sensation. Meat lovers will enjoy the Springbok Schnitzel with wild mushrooms, or the Game Platter both of which are highly recommended.
Adjacent to the Lord Neethling Restaurant is a separate bar area and a very spacious function room which is ideal for conferences and special events such as weddings. The function room can accommodate between 140 and 180 people depending on whether the dance floor is required. A number of set and buffet menus are available.
From Cape Town take the N1 towards Paarl. Turn off the N1 onto the R304 and continue towards Stellenbosch. When you reach Stellenbosch turn right onto the R310. From there turn right into Polkadraai Road where you'll find the Neethlingshof Wine Estate. The restaurant can be found on the estate.
