Joburgers are renowned for their love of red meat, but now there's a good reason to travel into Bull territory with the opening of Karoo, from the TH Restaurants stable.
The decor is trendy, with black Cobra-polished wall finishings, large glass doors and windows, plus heavy leather chair and booth seating. Best view in the house is from the balcony overlooking the lush greenery of the Pretoria suburbs.

Karoo knows its meat: extra-large steaks and full racks of ribs for larger appetites, bobotie, pies, boerewors, and chicken. Side dishes include chips, baked potato, vegetables and onion rings. There's also a salad buffet with a variety of salads which you can have for free if you buy a main course. Kids can eat selected items on offer at half price.

Dessert is “lekker South African” malva pudding, jelly and custard and tipsy tart. Karoo also opens for breakfast.
If you prefer to cook your meat at home they also sell a range of well matured products.

From Johannesburg: Take the N1 north towards Polokwane. Take the Garsfonteing Offramp. Turn right into Garsfontein Road, towards Menlyn Park Shopping Centre. Drive all the way until you see the Parkview Shopping Centre on your right. At the traffic light, turn right into Netcare Road, the entrance to the Shopping Centre is at the circle where you will find parking for Karoo Cattle and Land.
