Picture Café Ganesh  in Observatory (CPT), Southern Suburbs (CPT), Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa Observatory's every popular Cafe Ganesh, well known for its African/South African cuisine and arty decor, has now opened a daytime venue along the same Afro centric theme in front of its original restaurant situated at 38 Trill Road, just off Lower Main Road. This is the entrance to use in the evenings, but during the day enter Cafe Ganesh via the daytime entrance on Lower Main Road.

The interior of this space is interesting and full of character with brightly painted floors, a quaint balcony for summer days or evenings, comfortable furniture including a couch to relax on as well as plants and high ceilings, with lots of space between the tables and beautiful artwork on the walls in the rear section, which the owner himself has produced. It has an art gallery feel that is slightly Bohemian and offers a vibrant "local" atmosphere – a truly unique experience.

Travel on the M3 from the Southern Suburbs towards Cape Town CBD and take the N2 turnoff. Continue on Liesbeeck Parkway Road until you reach a set of traffic lights, then turn left into Station Road. Continue over the bridge until you reach another set of traffic lights, then turn right onto Lower Main Road. Cafe Ganesh is situated on the left corner of Trill and Lower Main Road.
