Alfredo Fiachetti, is owner and chef of Alfie’s, a small traditional Italian Restaurant in the Eastern suburbs of Pretoria.
His great passion and love for traditional cooking came from his childhood years, carefully observing his Grandmother enthusiastically preparing traditional dishes for family and friends. This same enthusiasm easily rubbed off on him and while living in Kenya he started his first Italian restaurant where he shared the culinary delights from the secret recipes he learnt from his Grandmother. The success he enjoyed in Kenya was easily transferred to those restaurants he ran in Italy and now in South Africa.

The ambiance at Alfie's is cosy, warm in a modern Trattoria style, Alfie says 'I want my patrons to feel at home, they should not feel rushed' and there is no better way to indulge in this unique experience, by leisurely savouring the tastes and aromas which come out from his kitchen.

Alfie's is fast becoming a household name in Pretoria especially renowned for his homemade pastas, i.e. ravioli, tagliatelle, tagliolini, gnocchi, lasagne The “tagliata with rocket and a reduction of balsamic vinegar” is a must have meat dish on his menu.
Apart from the regular menu, there are weekly specials definitely not to be missed.
