Most of the 16 different dishes of the 9 courses are prepared on open fires in front of you and presented one after the other as a rolling buffet. You may eat as much as you like! We eat for 2 to 3 hours.
9 Course Menu
1. Mussel Meat
With onions, lots of garlic and farm butter; mussels in half shelf, steamed with onions and white wine
2. West Coast Snoek
With sweet potato - West Coast style
3. Seafood Pot
With 3 types of fish, calamari, mussels and cleaned prawn tails; Rice (For those who want to catch the sauce); Garden salad (We seldom talk about salads); Vegetable dish with milk and cheese (Even Karoo farmers tuck in)
4. Meat Potjie
(For those who don’t eat seafood)
5. Catch of the Day
With onions. The chef will say
6. West Coast Rock Lobster / Prawns – additional
For those who ordered it on arrival, or when you book
7. Calamari Steak
Pan fried with onions and butter (This is how it should taste)
8. Melon and Sweet Melon or Tropical Fruit
(Slides down your throat)
9. Coffee & Koeksisters
(Sorry, we do not do tea)
And of course, Pot Bread, which is baked throughout the meal, with farm butter and jam or preserve (Careful, this is the Delilah on the menu!).
