We are Seafood specialists and we have a unique and exciting way for you to select your meal of choice: We do not have any printed menus. All our waiters are specially trained to explain in detail all the different flavours and textures of Seafood and Sushi that we have to offer in order for you to make your selection and here is how it works:
For all our Sushi we have available the best Yellowfin Tuna and Norwegian Salmon along with other regulars such as Prawn, Smoked Salmon, Salmon Roe, Eel and Vegetarian Sushi and also from time to time (depending on availability) Cape Salmon, Butterfish and Yellowtail. Also try our delicious Prawns deep-fried in Tempura batter and served with Thai Sweet-chilli sauce (the same can be done with Vegetables to make an interesting addition to a Vegetarian sushi platter).
We have big varieties of local Line fish, Game fish and Shellfish laid out on ice in our display units from where you make your menu choices. This selection could at any one time include the following:
Patagonian Calamari baby-tubes, very succulent and grilled with more spicing, almost Cajun style.
- Linefish and Gamefish:
Kingklip, Cob (or Kabeljou), Bluenose, Angelfish, Butterfish, East Coast Sole, Sardines, Cape Salmon, Dorado(or Mahi-Mahi), Yellowfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Yellowtail
White King Prawns from Mozambique, Langoustines from Mozambique, Tiger Giant Prawns and West Coast Rock Lobster (or Crayfish)
All the Seafood on our display counters is charged by weight
So after your waiter has explained and detailed all their flavours and textures you may decide exactly what size portion(s) you would like and how much you would like to spend on your meal. You can start small with some Linefish and Calamari or add on a few smaller King Prawns or you can splash out on some large Shellfish – the options and combinations are all up you and what you would like on the day.
Seafood selected is grilled to succulent perfection on a Flat-top grill and dusted with our special blend of spices
You may specify plain-grilled if you want. Your meal includes a side-dish of Stir-Fried vegetables or Savoury Rice or Chips (or a combination thereof). When your meal arrives at your table, it is accompanied by a selection of our sauces to add a few additional interesting flavours: Lemon Butter, Garlic Butter, Sweet Cape Apricot Chilli and Peri-Peri.Our seafood is prepared simply and beautifully and served in rustic Skillets and Pans without any airs or graces. Our customers local and from overseas keep on coming back and they know that we are consistent in what we deliver.We also offer a variety of starters and salads from which to choose as well as our fantastic oysters - usually from Saldanha on the West Coast of South Africa, medium-sized, full, meaty and flavourful.Set menu’s are available for groups of 50 or more.
